About West Coast Makers: Empowering the Bay Area’s Entrepreneurs
West Coast Makers drives economic opportunity, civic engagement, and inclusive celebration across 9 California counties—empowering small businesses and underrepresented entrepreneurs to thrive.
Our Mission
Economic Empowerment for Bay Area Entrepreneurs
West Coast Makers is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to transforming the Bay Area’s entrepreneurial landscape. Our mission is to empower underrepresented entrepreneurs, small businesses, and makers—especially those working ‘side-hustle’ jobs—by removing barriers to sustainable income. Through a blend of licensing support, bilingual education, and curated event access, we provide the legal, logistical, and community resources needed to move from passion projects to stable enterprises. Our impact spans Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Contra Costa, Marin, Solano, Napa, and Sonoma counties, with a strong presence in cities like Hayward, Oakland, San Jose, and Berkeley. We believe economic opportunity should be accessible to everyone, not just those with brick-and-mortar capital or insider knowledge. From TFF certification workshops to high-energy, family-friendly pop-up events, West Coast Makers bridges the ‘compliance gap’ while fostering vibrant, multicultural spaces where local businesses and communities grow together.
Our Impact
Bridging Bay Area Communities, Vendors, and Cities
West Coast Makers is the Bay Area’s premier market curator and civic partner, uniting over 500 multicultural vendors and thousands of attendees in inclusive, accessible events. Our leadership—founded by CEO Tatiana Aguilar (Principal Strategist) and CFO Angelina Monte—has earned formal recognition from the California State Senate for advancing stakeholder diversity and economic inclusion. By consulting with municipal and corporate partners, we design, coordinate, and execute cultural milestones such as Juneteenth in Hayward, activating neighborhoods from Oakland’s Lake Merritt to San Jose’s downtown core. Our signature Slushy Bar Trailer—funded by private rentals—ensures all public events remain free to attend, fueling a circular economy that reinvests in local creators. We specialize in resolving the pain points that keep talented makers out of the market: permits, language barriers, and lack of access to large audiences. West Coast Makers is more than an event producer—it is a trusted bridge between side-hustle dreams and stable, community-rooted income.
